Toughened Glass

Tempered glass is a type of glass, that heating and quickly cooling down to form compression pressure at glass surface which can enhance the glass mechanical strength and thermal stability. Strength is 3-5 times than float glass and can endure changing of above 200℃. When broken, fragments with obtuse angle won’t hurt people.

Product Features

Toughened glass is the ordinary float glass heated to close to the softening point, and then uniform rapid cooling treatment of the glass surface with pressure, mechanical strength doubled glass.

1. safety: glass broken into similar honeycomb particles, can greatly reduce the damage caused by glass falling.

2. high strength: the same thickness of tempered glass impact strength is 3~5 times of ordinary glass, flexural strength is 3~5 times of ordinary glass.

3. thermal stability: has good thermal stability, can withstand the temperature difference is 3 times of ordinary glass, can withstand 200℃ temperature difference change.
